About the Opportunity

Brandon Green Management Group, LLC (BGMG) is a certified Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) Joint Venture headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland. BGMG provides staff augmentation and professional services to federal agencies.
BGMG is seeking two (2) qualified Paralegals to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Denver, Colorado. This is a full-time, in-office position. Position is subject to contract award.

Scope of Work

Each Paralegal will perform a range of tasks in support of federal civil litigation, including but not limited to:
  • Review and organize large volumes of emails and documents
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases
  • Gather factual information and materials, including agency records, court records, and other public records
  • Read, analyze, and summarize court pleadings, court orders, transcripts, and other factual materials; draft memoranda as needed
  • Coordinate with federal agencies to locate and organize information and ensure compliance with court orders
  • Conduct factual and legal research; write memoranda
  • Provide automated litigation support to attorneys for briefs, presentations, and hearings
  • Prepare documents, exhibits, charts, and visual materials; operate graphics hardware such as scanners
  • Provide technical support, including enlarging charts and photographs, duplicating recordings, and marking exhibits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Relevant paralegal or legal support experience
  • Strong writing, organizational, and computer skills
  • Attention to detail and a consistent work ethic
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate Department of Justice (DOJ) security clearance

Preferred

  • Experience reviewing large quantities of documents
  • Background in federal civil litigation support
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and automated litigation support software

Work Environment

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Government-furnished equipment, including a computer and telephone, will be provided. The role requires some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of small office items.

Security Requirements

Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ security clearance. BGMG will coordinate the clearance process upon award. Candidates must provide a resume clearly describing their knowledge, certifications, and work experience.
